The German tank destroyer "Nashorn" ("Rhinoceros") was one of the first self-propelled guns of the Wehrmacht with the famous 88 mm gun mounted on it. Serially produced from February 1943 to March 1945, a total of 494 examples were built. One of the strengths of the Nashorn self-propelled gun was a powerful gun capable of penetrating the frontal armor of most tanks at ranges up to 2000 m. It was intended to combat Soviet heavy tanks. "Nashorns" were actively used by the troops until the end of the war.
