Including photo-etched parts, screws, coil springs, aluminum rails, and a plastic track bed, this is an extraordinarily detailed and lifelike model.

The gun barrel boasts an impressive length of 1300 mm and can be mounted in a movable manner (swiveling upward). The kit comprises a remarkable 96 black plastic injection molded parts and 147 separate components, among which are 80 wheels, 16 chassis frame parts, and 6 gun barrel components. This serves as a tribute to the largest and most impressive cannons ever employed: the Dora and Schwerer Gustav cannons.

These special cannons are often mistakenly labeled as railroad guns, but in reality, the short tracks were solely used for assembly and aiming purposes. The Krupp company undertook the construction of these two colossal guns between 1937 and 1941. Featuring hydraulic push-crank locks and a design composed of a jacket tube and a core tube stored in a tube cradle, these cannons were technological marvels. They were mounted between two lengthy carriage rails, supported by eight 5-axle bogies, distributing their weight across two parallel tracks.

The gun received its power through an independent generator, serving various functions including powering the electric motors on select axles for precise targeting. Although these cannons saw combat action only once during the siege of the Sevastopol Fortress on the Crimean Peninsula, their impact was unforgettable. From June 5 to July 2, 1942, 48 armor-piercing shells were unleashed upon the city's fortifications, followed by an additional 5 shells equipped with explosive charges. One target included a 30-meter-deep underground and submerged ammunition storage, housing the complete ammunition stock of Sevastopol for a span of 2 years. A total of 16 shots were fired at this target, resulting in a towering column of smoke.
