The Ford GPA is an amphibious four-wheel drive vehicle that the American motorcycle giant was ordered to produce for the US military in April 1942. In addition to the proven GPW engine, the brand new body with hull design was driven through the water. by a rear propeller. It took part in a number of landing operations, including the invasion of North Africa in November 1942 and the all-important Normandy landings in June 1944. However, production of the GPA had already ceased in June 1943, with approximately 12,800 examples produced.
