1:35 Zvezda 3629 UAZ-469 Soviet Military Off-Road Vehicle Plastic Model kit
The UAZ-469 was developed at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, with the first cars rolling off the assembly line on December 15, 1972. The UAZ-469 featured an open five-seat body that could accommodate five people (including the driver), but if necessary, two additional people could sit on folding seats in the cargo area. Instead, it was possible to load 600 kg of equipment and cargo, and the UAZ-469 could tow a trailer weighing 850 kg. Passengers were protected from bad weather by a canvas canopy, the arches of which could be removed, and the windshield could be folded down onto the hood. At the same time, the vehicle's height was significantly reduced, making it easier to camouflage or transport by helicopter. In August 1974, three completely standard UAZ-469Bs climbed Mount Elbrus to an altitude of 4200 meters during a test run in just 38 minutes.
