1:35 Zvezda 3661 German Self-Propelled Anti-Tank-Gun Sturmgeschutz IV - Sd.Kfz.167 Plastic Model kit
The German self-propelled artillery unit (ACS) of the Second World War Sturmgeschütz IV (or StuG IV for short) was developed on the basis of the most massive Wehrmacht tank Pz.Kpfw. IV. "Sturmgeschutz" is translated from German as "assault gun" - in this capacity the StuG IV was used. Moving into the battle formations of the advancing infantry, these vehicles fired their 75-mm guns directly at the enemy fortifications and firing points. They were also used to fire at tanks from ambushes. Sturmgeschutz was much cheaper than tanks with a revolving turret and half a meter lower than them, reducing the likelihood of such self-propelled guns being hit with return fire. From December 1943 to April 1945, 1141 StuG IVs were built by three German factories.
