1:72 Revell 63129 Tiger II Ausf. B - Model Set Plastic Model kit
Introducing the Tiger II model kit - also unofficially known as the King Tiger - a formidable tank that was developed in 1943 and entered series production at Henschel in 1944. The Königstiger perfectly combined the requirements for exceptional armor protection and firepower. Its frontal armor, with a thickness of up to 150mm, could withstand bullets from enemy main battle tanks. The hull sides were armored up to 80mm thick. Despite relentless bombing raids on the Henschel factory in Kassel by the Allies, a total of 492 Tiger II tanks, including prototypes and 50 vehicles, were delivered to the troops. However, not all of them reached the frontline units, as many were lost due to propulsion issues resulting from the tank's high weight or simply due to fuel shortages.
This model kit features a new mold with finely detailed surfaces, allowing you to create an authentic representation of the Tiger II. The turret rotates, and the cannon's height is adjustable. The tracks are injection-molded for added realism. Additionally, the turret hatches can be displayed open for enhanced detail. Please note that zimmerit (anti-mine cladding) is not included.
The kit includes authentic representations of the following versions:
- Schw. PzAbteilung 503 Hungary/Eastern Front, October 1944
- Schw. PzAbteilung 506 Western Front, March 1945
In addition to 3 basic color paints (No. 16, 37, 48), adhesive and a brush are also included, providing you with everything you need to get started.
