In 1993 the most powerful Mercedes-Benz tractor with a 500 hp engine was launched in the "EUROCAB" version with raised cab roof.

Later this new cabin was mounted on a chassis with 380 and 435 hp engines. Unlike other European manufacturers, Mercedes-Benz produces the engines and mechanical components directly from the factory with the assembly lines. The engine is a 14.6 liter V-8 diesel engine with turbocharger and an output of 503 hp. Despite the increased height of the cab, the spoilers ensure low fuel consumption and the engine complies with European emission regulations.
