1:48 ICM 48320 B-26B Marauder - WWII American Bomber Plastic Model kit
Step into the historical grandeur of American aviation during World War II with the B-26B Marauder model kit. This twin-engine, medium bomber, manufactured by the Glenn L. Martin Company, was designed in 1939 to meet the US Army Air Corps' requirements for a new high-speed medium bomber.
Originally known as Model 179, the B-26 Marauder was directly put into production, skipping the usual stages of a prototype or pre-series models. The first aircraft took flight on November 25, 1940, and was officially adopted by the US Air Force in February 1941.
This model represents the last modification of the B-26B Marauder (B-26B-55-MA), which was produced until February 1944. These aircraft actively participated in the US bombing operations in Europe during the final stage of World War II.
