The "Grad" is a 122-mm rocket artillery system of the Soviet Union, designed to engage open and sheltered enemy troops, unarmored vehicles, and armored vehicles, as well as artillery and mortar batteries, command posts, and other targets. It was introduced in 1963 and has since undergone modernization. The modernized BM-21 "Grad" system is based on the Ural-4320, a high-mobility truck. It features an automated aiming and firing system, launch equipment, and a satellite navigation system. Today, the "Grad" MLRS is deployed in more than 30 countries worldwide.
